Teresa A. Pash
Teresa is a piano teacher and performer residing in Nashville, Michigan. Originally from Hastings, Michigan [daughter of Norma V. (Hammond) Earl of Vermontville, Michigan and the late Patrick J. Gilmore (Gilmore's Jewelers)], there she received 10 years of private study with Freddy Kruko-Kietzmann. She received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma, WA) in 1986 with studies in performance as well as pedagogy. She has taught piano for 30 + years and has been a member of MMTA and MTNA since 1996. She is a long-time member of the Battle Creek Area Music Teachers Association (BCAMTA/MMTA/MTNA) and has held various positions, ranging from Secretary to President. Her teaching expertise focuses on Performance, Theory, and Improvisation. She became a certified Kindermusik® Instructor in 2004. She has also produced three CDs: "Remember When..." (2007), "Hymns of the Heart" (2003), and "Christmas Memories" (2001). She has also performed and coached numerous bands through-out the years in presentation, composition, and arrangement. She has been a featured artist on "Hearts and Voices" through local TV Access Vision and is often found sharing her music with the community. An excellent accompanist, she has performed in many community theatre productions in the Nashville-Hastings area. Her artistic style has a broad range of expressions, however, she specializes in 20's to 40's vintage music.
